Guided River Walk and River Habitat Demonstrations on

Wednesday 8th February (11.00am – 2.30pm)
or
Thursday 9th February (10.00am – 1.30pm)

Location: The river Esk near Danby - details will be provided after booking

Cost: Free

Join Gareth Pedley from the Wild Trout Trust on a short walk along the river Esk, near Danby. The walk will incorporate river habitat assessment and discussion, along with demonstration of simple improvement techniques that can be employed to benefit a range of fish and invertebrate species.

During the river walks you will get the opportunity to have a go at some of the techniques yourself. Please wrap up warm and wear wellies and old clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Please also bring a packed lunch with you.

These walks are ideally suited to members of angling clubs and local land managers, or anyone who is interested in the river and its wildlife.

Please contact Alex Cripps (Catchment Partnership Officer) if you would like to book a place for either the 8 or 9 February, or if you require further details - email a.cripps@northyorkmoors.org.uk or call 01439 772700.

We look forwards to seeing you there!

(These walks are funded through our Discovering the Esk - Phase 2 project, thanks to support from players of the People's Postcode Lottery).
