CELEBRATING ALL THINGS GREAT ABOUT INSECTS

Sun 16th Aug 2015

Simon Hirst, the River Esk Project Officer for the North York Moors National Park Authority, and Alex Cripps our Catchment Partnership Officer will be at the Mini-beast Madness event this Sunday at Sutton Bank National Park Centre between 11am and 4pm. (Sutton Bank, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 2EF).

We will have lots of river invertebrates for you to see along with getting up-close and personal by looking at them through our fantastic new microscope! You can also make a bug badge, learn about the freshwater pearl mussel's fascinating life cycle and make your own stickleback fish!

There are lots of other exciting activities happening throughout the day such as make your own bug hotel, seeing spiders up-close and going on a bug hut.

We hope to see you there!
